President of Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Sardar Tahir Mehmood, has said that the spirit of Ramadan teaches compassion, generosity and service to humanity and institutions like Pakistan Sweet Home, working for the welfare of orphaned children deprived segments of the society, deserve all kind of support and assistance in their noble cause.
Addressing an Iftar dinner hosted for the children of Pakistan Sweet Home, he urged the business community to come forward and generously contribute for service to humanity. He said that these children are future of Pakistan and as we see that sons and fairies of Pakistan Sweet Home are now studying in medical colleges, engineering universities and other professional disciplines to serve the country in a befitting manner. Sardar Tahir Mehmood also paid rich tribute to Zamurrad Khan, recipient of Hilal-e-Imtiaz, for his visionary leadership and tireless efforts to successfully run 12 main service to humanity organisations.
He highlighted that Pakistan Sweet Home is providing shelter, quality education and a nurturing environment to more than ten thousand children through its campuses across the country. Sardar Tahir Mehmood reaffirmed that the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry will continue to support noble cause of Pakistan Sweet Home under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs and work closely with business community to strengthen philanthropic efforts for a building a better future of deserving children.
