ISLAMABAD, Mar 4 (IN): Pakistan has qualified for the quarterfinals of the 2026 Asia Oceania Pre-Qualifying Event – ITF World Juniors Competition being held at NovaWorld Phan Thiet, Vietnam.In a crucial group match, Pakistan edged past Nepal 2-1 to book their place among the top eight teams of the tournament. Seeded sixth, Pakistan topped Group F after delivering an impressive performance in the group stage.The decisive doubles encounter highlighted the fighting spirit of the Pakistani girls. After dominating the first set 6-0, they found themselves trailing 1-3 in the second set.
However, they staged a spirited comeback to clinch the set 6-4, sealing the tie 2-1 in Pakistan’s favour.With this victory, Pakistan advanced to the quarterfinals (last eight), continuing their strong run in the competition.
