Belarus, Indonesia Explore Major Investment Projects to Deepen Economic Partnership

JAKARTA, July 1: Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko held talks with senior Indonesian ministers on Tuesday to advance major joint investment projects and expand bilateral cooperation across key economic sectors.The meeting brought together Indonesia’s Minister of Investment and CEO of the state investment agency Danantara, Rosan Perkasa Roeslani; Minister of Agriculture and Head of the National Food Agency (Bapanas), Andi Amran Sulaiman; and President Director of the state-owned energy company Pertamina, Simon Aloysius Mantiri.

President Lukashenko said the two sides had already made significant progress in discussions covering agriculture, food security, medical and veterinary products, and industrial cooperation. He reaffirmed Belarus’ readiness to broaden collaboration and invited Indonesian partners to explore investment opportunities in Belarus.He emphasized that Belarus is open to cooperation in all sectors, including joint manufacturing ventures, and assured Indonesian investors of full support for projects without unnecessary bureaucratic delays. He also encouraged Indonesian officials and business leaders to visit Belarus to witness the country’s industrial and technological capabilities firsthand.Highlighting Belarus’ strong industrial base, President Lukashenko said the country has preserved and modernized advanced technologies developed during the Soviet era, enabling it to offer reliable solutions in manufacturing, agriculture, and other strategic sectors.

Indonesian Investment Minister Rosan Perkasa Roeslani said President Prabowo Subianto has directed the government to strengthen and expand relations with Belarus across all possible areas, reflecting Jakarta’s commitment to enhancing economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.
