ISLAMABAD: Advisor to Chairman Senate and Ambassador for the Inter-Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference (ISC), Ms. Misbah Khar, held a meeting with H.E. Fatou Harerimana, High Commissioner of Rwanda to Pakistan, to discuss ways to further strengthen the growing and friendly relations between Pakistan and Rwanda.
The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation in parliamentary diplomacy, trade, investment, business, tourism and people-to-people contacts.H.E. Fatou Harerimana highlighted Rwanda’s growing business and investment opportunities and invited the Pakistani business community to participate in a business exhibition scheduled to be held in Rwanda in September.Ms. Misbah Khar welcomed the initiative and emphasized the importance of encouraging Pakistani entrepreneurs, exporters and investors to explore Rwanda and the wider African market.
The two sides also discussed enhanced connectivity between Pakistan and Rwanda. H.E. Fatou Harerimana expressed interest in establishing direct air connectivity between the two countries, noting that direct flights could significantly facilitate business, tourism, investment and people-to-people exchanges.Ms. Khar welcomed the proposal, stressing that improved connectivity could play an important role in bringing the Pakistani and Rwandan business communities closer.Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening Pakistan-Rwanda relations through parliamentary diplomacy, business exchanges and greater private-sector engagement, while exploring new avenues for mutually beneficial cooperation.
