Islamabad, August 25, 2026: Syed Zairak Shah, son of senior Pakistan Peoples Party leader Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, visited the Zamarud Khan Rehabilitation Center in Chakri and the Pakistan Sweet Home Cadet College in Sohawa, accompanied by Pakistan Sweet Home Chairman Zamarud Khan.During his visit to the Zamarud Khan Rehabilitation Center, Syed Zairak Shah was briefed on the facility’s rehabilitation programs. He was informed that more than 100 individuals have successfully overcome drug addiction and, after completing their rehabilitation, have returned to their respective professions and begun healthier and more stable lives.At the Sweet Home Cadet College Sohawa, Syed Zairak Shah was briefed on the newly constructed block and the modern facilities being provided to cadets. He was also informed that four students of the Pakistan Sweet Home Cadet College have secured commissions in the armed forces this year and are currently completing their professional training.
Appreciating the high standards maintained at both the rehabilitation center and cadet college, Syed Zairak Shah said that the care, education, training and rehabilitation being provided to orphans, underprivileged children and deserving individuals were exemplary. He expressed his commitment to extending all possible support and cooperation to Pakistan Sweet Home for its welfare initiatives.On the occasion, Zamarud Khan highlighted the wide range of services being provided by Pakistan Sweet Home. In addition to the upbringing, education and training of thousands of orphaned and vulnerable children, the organization operates a blood bank, burial services, ambulance service and a daily meal program.
Under the Dastarkhwan initiative, deserving people are provided two free, quality meals every day in an organized and dignified environment.Zamarud Khan further said that deserving students are also being supported through scholarship programs and are being prepared for the Central Superior Services (CSS) examinations. He expressed hope that these young people would eventually join the country’s higher civil services and play a meaningful role in national development.
