Uzbekistan Expresses Solidarity with Pakistan Following Tragic PIMS Fire

ISLAMABAD: The Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan has expressed deep sorrow and heartfelt condolences following the tragic loss of newborn babies in a fire at the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad.In a message of condolence, the Uzbek ambassador said he was deeply saddened by the tragic incident, noting that words were inadequate to ease the profound grief and anguish of the parents who had lost their children.“It is especially heartbreaking to know that these innocent lives had only just begun,” the ambassador said, expressing his deepest sympathies to the bereaved parents, families and loved ones.

He prayed that Almighty Allah grant the grieving families Sabr-e-Jameel, strength, courage and fortitude to endure the irreparable loss.The ambassador also recited, “Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un,” and reaffirmed that Uzbekistan stands in solidarity with the people of Pakistan during this difficult hour.The message was issued in Urdu, English, Uzbek and Russian, underscoring the strong bonds of friendship, brotherhood and solidarity between Uzbekistan and Pakistan.
