The Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) has expressed its deepest condolences and heartfelt sympathies to the families of the innocent children who tragically lost their lives in the fire at PIMS Hospital. RCCI President Usman Shaukat, in a statement, said the incident was deeply alarming and a painful reminder that the safety of patients, particularly children, must never be compromised.He called for immediate and comprehensive safety measures across all public hospitals, including effective fire-response systems, emergency preparedness, regular safety drills and robust evacuation protocols to prevent such tragedies in the future.
Usman Shaukat also demanded a transparent and impartial investigation into the incident to identify any negligence or safety lapses and ensure accountability.“Every life is precious. No family should ever have to suffer such an irreparable loss because of preventable safety failures,” he said.He prayed that Allah Almighty grant eternal peace to the departed souls and give the bereaved families strength, patience and courage to bear this immense loss.
