GUJRAT: The Gujrat Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GCCI) has taken an important step to facilitate the local business community with the inauguration of the Uzbekistan Visa Facilitation Center at the Chamber.The center was formally inaugurated by Mr. Ahmed Hassan, President Gujrat Chamber of Commerce & Industry, during an online Zoom meeting with H.E. Alisher Tukhtaev, Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Pakistan.
The virtual inauguration was attended by Haji Nasir Mahmood, Group Leader; Sajjad Anwar, CEO Travel Operations; Executive Members of the Chamber; and a large number of business community representatives.The establishment of the Visa Facilitation Center is expected to make the visa application process more convenient for the business community of Gujrat.
Local businessmen can now apply for Uzbekistan visas directly through the Gujrat Chamber, saving them the time, cost and inconvenience of traveling to Islamabad for the application process.The initiative is also expected to strengthen trade, investment and business-to-business relations between Gujrat and Uzbekistan, while providing greater opportunities for local entrepreneurs to explore the growing Central Asian market.
