ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Awami Quwwat Party Chairman and Chairman of Rawal General & Dental Hospital and Rawal Foundation, Khawaja Waheed Khaqan, has expressed strong support for the creation of a separate Hazara province, demanding that the region be granted provincial status at the earliest to address the sense of deprivation among its people.Khawaja Waheed Khaqan made these remarks while addressing a special gathering of the Hazara community and the Hazara Province Movement in Rawalpindi as the chief guest.
The event, held at a local hotel, was attended by prominent political, social and religious figures, along with a large number of Hazara community members from Rawalpindi and Islamabad.Khawaja Waheed Khaqan said the creation of Hazara province was essential to address the longstanding grievances of the people of the region and to ensure improved political representation, governance and development.The gathering was hosted by Pir Babar Khan Abbasi, President of the Tehsil Lora chapter of the Hazara Province Movement; Naveed Abbasi, Vice President; and Sardar Sajjad Ahmed Hazarawi, General Secretary.Sardar Yasir Karral, Vice President of the Hazara Province Movement, and Khawaja Waheed Khaqan were the chief guests at the event.Representatives of Abbasi Welfare, led by Safir Ahmed Abbasi, participated in the gathering. Pashtun Party Chairman Abdul Rahim Khan Bangash and his team also announced their support for the demand for a separate Hazara province.
Among the other participants were Qasim Khan Kohistani from Kohistan, Sardar Mumrez Karral, Chairman of Rawalpindi-Islamabad Karral Welfare, Sudhir Abbasi from Lora, and Maulana Allama Qari Zaheer Ahmed Karral Hazarawi, Imam and Khatib of the Ahl-e-Hadith Rawalpindi Markaz, along with members of his team.Leaders and workers from Galiyat, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Kohistan and other parts of Hazara also attended the gathering.The speakers unanimously described the creation of Hazara province as an urgent need and pledged continued support for the movement. Several political and social leaders also announced their solidarity with the demand, saying a separate province would help improve governance, development and representation for the people of Hazara
