Kazakhstan Envoy Yerzhan Kistafin Meets Usman Shaukat, Pakistani Business Leaders to Boost Trade and Investment Cooperation

Islamabad (IN) The Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, H.E. Yerzhan Kistafin, held a series of meetings with prominent representatives of Pakistan’s business community, including CEO of Well Connect Ltd, Habil Ahmed Khan, and a delegation from the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry led by President Usman Shaukat.During the meetings, Ambassador Kistafin briefed participants on the current state of Kazakhstan-Pakistan trade and economic relations, as well as key outcomes of the recent state visit of Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Islamabad, including the Kazakhstan-Pakistan Business Forum.

In discussions with Habil Ahmed Khan, both sides explored opportunities for enhanced cooperation in investment and finance, energy, education, and agriculture. They also reviewed potential joint projects planned in both Kazakhstan and Pakistan.In a separate meeting with the Rawalpindi Chamber delegation, the Ambassador highlighted Kazakhstan’s economic potential, key sectors, and emerging business opportunities. He also invited Pakistani businessmen to visit Kazakhstan to strengthen direct contacts and explore investment prospects.

Usman Shaukat expressed keen interest in the Astana International Financial Centre and other financial institutions in Kazakhstan, noting their investor-friendly regulations and strong legal protections for foreign direct investment.At the conclusion of the meetings, the Rawalpindi Chamber leadership affirmed its readiness to organize a business delegation to Kazakhstan later this year, signaling a positive step toward deeper economic engagement between the two countries.
