Islamabad, April 7, 2026: Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Pakistan, Yerzhan Kistafin, met with Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Aurangzeb Khan Khichi, to discuss strengthening bilateral ties in the cultural and humanitarian sectors.During the meeting, both sides reviewed progress on agreements reached during the recent visit of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to Pakistan and explored new avenues for collaboration under the cultural cooperation roadmap.In view of the expected visit of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Astana, the ambassador proposed developing a comprehensive joint cultural program.
The minister welcomed the initiative and expressed Pakistan’s readiness to send artists to Kazakhstan, while also inviting Kazakh performers to participate in cultural events in Pakistan.The meeting concluded with both sides underscoring the importance of cultural diplomacy in strengthening bilateral relations and reaffirming their commitment to enhancing cooperation between Pakistan and Kazakhstan, as well as with Central Asian countries.
