ISLAMABAD, Apr 11: A high-level United States delegation led by Vice President J.D. Vance arrived in Islamabad on Saturday to participate in the Islamabad Talks. The delegation also includes Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
The US delegation was received upon arrival by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Asim Munir, and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, according to a statement issued by the Foreign Office.Welcoming the US Vice President, Ishaq Dar appreciated the United States’ commitment to promoting lasting regional and global peace and stability.
He expressed hope that all parties would engage constructively in the talks and reaffirmed Pakistan’s willingness to continue facilitating efforts aimed at achieving a durable and peaceful resolution to ongoing conflicts.
