ISLAMABAD, Apr 13 (IN): Four matches were played on the fifth day of the ongoing National Under-18 Youth Hockey Championship 2026 at the Naseer Bunda Hockey Stadium, Islamabad, under the auspices of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF).In the opening match, Pakistan Customs delivered a dominant performance, thrashing Gilgit-Baltistan 15-0. Hassan and Usman led the charge with three goals each, while Umar, Adil and Arman scored two goals apiece. Shavez Khawar, Hassan and Yahya added one goal each to complete the comprehensive victory.
In the second match, KP-1 outclassed Sindh-2 with a convincing 4-0 win. Shajeel, Abbas, Uzair and Shah Mir each found the net once for their side.The third match saw Punjab-4 defeat KP-2 by 5-1. Abdullah scored twice, while Ali Akbar, Ahmed Noor and Hamid Ali contributed one goal each. Owais managed the only goal for KP-2.In the fourth and final match of the day, Punjab-1 secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Balochistan, thanks to a solitary goal by Muhammad Sohaib.
A number of prominent dignitaries attended the matches, including PHF President Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani, Executive Director IBCC Dr. Ghulam Ali Mallah, Director General Pakistan Sports Board Yasir Pirzada, Deputy DG Shahid-ul-Islam, PHF Selection Committee member Olympian Naeem Akhtar, Chief Coordinator Abdul Nasir Akhunzada, Tournament Director Olympian Khawaja Muhammad Junaid, Assistant Tournament Directors Shafiq Bhatti and Mehmood Ahmed, Umpires Manager Sohail Akram Janjua, Coordinator Khawar Javed and Media Coordinator Muhammad Waqas Sheikh.The championship, which began on April 9, will continue until April 19, featuring 16 teams from across the country competing for the title.
