Rwanda High Commissioner Visits RCCI, Highlights Women Empowerment on International Women’s Day

H.E. Harerimana Fatou, High Commissioner of Rwanda, visited the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) to mark International Women’s Day, where she engaged with women members of the chamber and appreciated their contributions.

During her visit, the High Commissioner acknowledged the efforts of the government in promoting women’s empowerment and stressed the importance of strong partnerships between governments, embassies, NGOs, and other stakeholders to advance gender equality.

She shared Rwanda’s success stories in empowering women, noting that the country ranks among the highest in the world for female representation in parliament.Highlighting both global achievements and ongoing challenges, H.E. Fatou called for collective efforts to advocate for women’s rights, justice, and meaningful action to ensure equal opportunities for all women and girls.She also praised the leadership of President Paul Kagame for playing a key role in promoting gender equality across Rwanda.
