LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Housing Bilal Yaseen on Wednesday visited the Alif Laila tube well, roadside drains and Liberty Chowk Eid-ul-Azha camp to review drainage, sanitation and cleanliness arrangements across Lahore during Eid operations.WASA Lahore Vice Chairman Chaudhry Shehbaz Ahmed and Managing Director Ghufran Ahmed accompanied the minister during the visit, while Gulberg Town Director Usman Babar briefed him on ongoing development and operational activities.
Bilal Yaseen inspected drainage lines, sewerage points and tube wells, and reviewed cleanliness operations being carried out by field teams deployed throughout the city ahead of Eid-ul-Azha.Officials informed the minister that WASA teams were actively working in the field to ensure immediate response to public complaints and uninterrupted drainage and sewerage services.
Directing officials to further improve performance, Bilal Yaseen stressed that cleanliness and drainage arrangements must remain effective without any lapse during the Eid holidays.“Negligence or carelessness will not be tolerated. All possible facilities must be provided to citizens,” he said, adding that efficient service delivery during Eid-ul-Azha remained the government’s top priority.The minister also instructed authorities to keep all tube wells, disposal stations and drainage systems fully operational and directed officers to remain present in the field for swift resolution of public complaints.
