Philippines Marks 128th Independence Day: Pakistan Reaffirms Commitment to Stronger Bilateral Ties

ISLAMABAD (IN) The Government and people of Pakistan warmly extended their heartfelt congratulations to the Republic of the Philippines on the occasion of its 128th Independence Day, while also celebrating 77 years of enduring diplomatic relations between the two friendly nations.

In their message, Pakistan’s leadership conveyed best wishes to the Filipino government and its people, reaffirming a shared commitment to further strengthening cooperation across multiple sectors.To commemorate the occasion, H.E. Dr. Emmanuel R. Fernandez, Ambassador of the Philippines, along with Mrs. Fernandez, hosted a graceful reception in Islamabad. The event was attended by distinguished guests, diplomats, and government officials, highlighting the longstanding friendship between the two countries.

During the ceremony, a special message from President Asif Ali Zardari was delivered by Press Secretary Murtaza Solangi, emphasizing Pakistan’s desire to deepen engagement and expand mutual collaboration.Chief Guest, Federal Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanvir Hussain, also addressed the gathering, expressing confidence that Pakistan-Philippines relations will continue to grow stronger in the years ahead.
