Large companies from Pakistan and South Korea have agreed to jointly move forward with wide-ranging infrastructure development projects in Uzbekistan.An important meeting was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan with the leadership of Habib Rafiq (Pvt) Ltd (HRL), along with representatives of its South Korean strategic and technological partners — EN Technologies, Samoocm Architect & Engineers, Office for Civic Solutions (OCS), AKS Group Information Co. Ltd., Skyline Profits Global Group, and Big Tops Engineering.

An important meeting was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan with the leadership of Habib Rafiq (Pvt) Ltd (HRL), along with representatives of its South Korean strategic and technological partners — EN Technologies, Samoocm Architect & Engineers, Office for Civic Solutions (OCS), AKS Group Information Co. Ltd., Skyline Profits Global Group, and Big Tops Engineering.During the discussions, both sides reviewed concrete initiatives aimed at accelerating Uzbekistan’s modern infrastructure development. It was highlighted that following HRL’s delegation visit in January this year, agreements had been reached to implement construction projects in Tashkent, Samarkand, Khiva, and Nukus.The South Korean companies presented their advanced technologies and international experience in key sectors including Smart City development, transport and railway infrastructure expansion, establishment of industrial zones, digital solutions for urban governance, construction of energy-efficient facilities, and attracting foreign direct investment through public-private partnership mechanisms.
Special attention was given to the Uzbekistan Tashkent Smart Bio-Cluster Development project, which aims to establish a world-class biotechnology and pharmaceutical cluster in Tashkent. The initiative will include modern research centers, high-tech production facilities, and smart infrastructure systems.In addition, HRL announced the formation of an international consortium with its South Korean partners to implement major projects in Uzbekistan in the fields of energy, railway infrastructure development, Smart City-based urban construction, and the creation and expansion of industrial and special economic zones.At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties agreed to organize a visit of South Korean company representatives to Uzbekistan in order to move these projects into the practical implementation phase.Observers say the development further reflects Uzbekistan’s growing reputation as a reliable partner and an increasingly attractive destination for investment, advanced technologies, and innovation.
