ISLAMABAD: Ambassador Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan led a delegation from Kelab STMI on Thursday, 12 March 2026, during a visit to Madrasah Ashraf-Ul-Uloom in Islamabad, where Zakat Fitrah was distributed to support the institution and its students.
The Ambassador was accompanied by the President of Kelab STMI and other officers from the High Commission. Upon arrival, the delegation was warmly received by Maulana Abdul Ghuffar Abbasi, the Principal of the Madrasah, along with members of the teaching staff.During the meeting, Maulana Abdul Ghuffar Abbasi briefed the Ambassador about the history and activities of the Madrasah. Established in 1925, Madrasah Ashraf-Ul-Uloom has played a vital role in Islamic education for nearly a century, with thousands of students graduating from the institution and serving in mosques and madrasahs across Islamabad and other cities.
During the visit, Ambassador Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan handed over Zakat Fitrah to the management of the Madrasah, highlighting the importance of charity and community support, particularly during the holy month. The visit also reflected ongoing efforts to strengthen ties with local religious and educational institutions.
