Blessings of Ramadan in Mardan: Sameem Orphan Care Pakistan Distributes Food Packages to Over 1,000 Families

Mardan: With the arrival of the holy month of Ramadan, a time marked by worship and spiritual reflection, the spirit of compassion and humanitarian service also reaches its peak. Demonstrating this commitment to social welfare, Sameem Orphan Care Pakistan distributed “Ramadan Food Packages” among more than 1,000 deserving families in Mardan, setting a commendable example of generosity and community support.The distribution ceremony was held at a local marriage hall and was attended by a large number of deserving women, elderly individuals, persons with disabilities, and orphaned children. The chief guest on the occasion was Iqbal Hussain Khattak, Additional Deputy Commissioner for Relief and Human Rights, Mardan. Other notable attendees included the organization’s Vice Chairman Salman Shah Bukhari, Dr. Saqib, Niaz Ali Advocate, Dr. Abuzar Shah, and Ikram Khan.The Ramadan Food Package contained essential daily-use items, including flour, cooking oil (ghee), sugar, rice, dates, various types of lentils, chickpeas, kidney beans, gram flour, and other dry ration items. The aim was to ensure that underprivileged families do not face food shortages during the entire month of Ramadan.Addressing the ceremony, Chairman Dr. Abuzar Shah stated that Ramadan conveys the message of patience, sacrifice, and mutual cooperation. He highlighted that in the current era of rising inflation, poor and middle-income families are under severe financial pressure. In such circumstances, he said, it becomes the collective responsibility of well-off individuals and welfare organizations to support vulnerable segments of society. He added that the organization has been delivering relief packages to thousands of families across different parts of the country for several years and will continue this mission in the future.He further emphasized that their objective is not merely to distribute ration supplies, but to bring smiles to the faces of deserving families and reassure them that they are not alone in society. “Our true success lies in ensuring that everyone shares equally in the blessings of Ramadan,” he remarked.In his speech, Additional Deputy Commissioner Iqbal Hussain Khattak appreciated the humanitarian services of Sameem Orphan Care Pakistan and assured full support from the district administration for such welfare initiatives. He stated that only through coordinated efforts between government and non-governmental organizations can the hardships of marginalized communities be effectively reduced.At the conclusion of the event, food packages were distributed in an organized manner among the beneficiaries.
