Deputy Chairman Senate Hails Iran–US Ceasefire; Credits PM Shehbaz and Army Chief for Peace Efforts

Islamabad: Deputy Chairman Senate, Syedal Khan Nasar, has warmly welcomed the ceasefire between the United States and the Iran, describing it as a significant and encouraging development toward peace, stability, and de-escalation in the region.Addressing the Senate, the Deputy Chairman underscored that Pakistan has consistently advocated dialogue, diplomacy, and peaceful engagement as the only viable path to resolving international conflicts. He noted that the ceasefire reflects the success of diplomatic efforts and the collective will of responsible global leadership to avoid further escalation.

He paid special tribute to the leadership of Pakistan, particularly expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for his proactive and visionary diplomacy in promoting peace. The Deputy Chairman also commended the role of Chief of the Army Staff, Asim Munir, for his strategic support and coordinated efforts that helped build momentum toward the ceasefire.Deputy Chairman Senate Nasar further appreciated the contributions of President Asif Ali Zardari and Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar for their effective diplomatic engagement and outreach at the international level.
