Ethiopia Highlights Tourism and Culture at Pakistan Travel Mart 2026 in Karachi

KARACHI (IN) The Ethiopian Embassy in Islamabad, in collaboration with Ethiopian Airlines, inaugurated the “Ethiopian Enclave” at Pakistan Travel Mart (PTM) 2026, which commenced at the Karachi Expo Centre on Friday.

The Ethiopian Enclave has been set up to showcase the country’s rich historical heritage, diverse tourism destinations, and vibrant cultural identity, attracting significant attention from visitors.The opening ceremony was attended by prominent Pakistani officials, including Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Tourism, and Aftab ur Rehman Rana, Managing Director of the Pakistan Tourism Development Corporation.Visitors to the enclave were offered a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony, creating an engaging cultural experience while also promoting discussions on potential cooperation in tourism and hospitality sectors between the two countries.

The exhibit received an overwhelming response from Karachi residents, travel agencies, and media representatives, effectively positioning Ethiopia as an emerging and attractive destination for Pakistani tourists.The Ethiopian Enclave will remain open to visitors at PTM 2026 until Sunday, April 5.
