Amsterdam, March 17: The official draw ceremony for the FIH Hockey World Cup 2026 will take place today (Tuesday) in Amsterdam, where the qualified teams will learn their group-stage opponents for the prestigious tournament.The ceremony will be held at the iconic Wagener Stadium at 3:00 pm CET. It will determine the composition of the pools in both the men’s and women’s competitions, featuring 16 teams in each category.The World Cup 2026 will be jointly hosted by the Netherlands and Belgium from August 15 to 30, with matches scheduled in Amsterdam and Wavre.
According to the International Hockey Federation, the ceremony will be attended by key officials including President Tayyab Ikram, Vice-President and EuroHockey President Marcos Hofman, Executive Board member Erik Cornelissen, Dutch Hockey Federation President Erik Klein Nagelvoort, and Belgian Hockey Federation President Patrick Keusters. Head coaches, team captains, and former international players will also be present.The event will be live-streamed globally on the Watch.
