Over 22,000 participants from nearly 100 countries expected as Kazan hosts a major platform for trade, investment, and Islamic finance dialogue
The International Economic Forum “Russia – Islamic World: KazanForum 2026” is set to take place from May 12 to 17 at the Kazan Expo International Exhibition Centre in Kazan.Recognized as one of the largest platforms for engagement between Russia and the Islamic world, the forum is expected to attract more than 22,000 participants from nearly 100 countries. Attendees will include government officials, business leaders, heads of international organizations, and global experts.
The forum will be chaired by Russia’s Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, and is being organized with the support of the Russian Federation Council and the Government of Tatarstan.KazanForum aims to strengthen economic, scientific, technological, and humanitarian ties between Russia and member states of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation. It also seeks to promote Islamic finance institutions and expand investment cooperation across participating countries.Key areas of focus will include trade and economic partnerships, investment opportunities, infrastructure development, and innovative mechanisms to enhance collaboration between governments and businesses.The forum’s diverse program will cover international cooperation, industrial dialogue, transport, Islamic finance, the halal industry, tourism, and healthcare.
Special sessions will also spotlight youth diplomacy, entrepreneurship, education, cultural exchange, and the role of women in economic development.The working languages of the forum will be Russian, English, and Arabic, while the plenary session will additionally include French, reflecting its broad international outreach.
