Islamabad, Monday: The House Business Advisory Committee (HBAC) of the Senate met at Parliament House, Islamabad, under the chairmanship of Senate Chairman Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani to deliberate on the legislative agenda for the 359th Session of the Senate.The Committee discussed in detail the legislative business scheduled for the ongoing session. In addition to lawmaking matters, the House will also hold discussions on key national and international issues of current importance.
The HBAC decided that the present session is likely to continue until March 3, 2026.The meeting was attended by Leader of the Opposition Raja Nasir Abbas, Rana Sanaullah Khan, Sherry Rehman, Manzoor Ahmad, Haji Hidayatullah Khan, Kamran Murtaza, Amir Walli ud Din Chishti, Kamil Ali Agha, Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar, Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Tariq Fazal Chaudhry, and Secretary Senate Syed Hasnain Haider.During the meeting, the Secretary Senate briefed members on the legislative business to be taken up during the current session.
