The High Commission of Pakistan in Mauritius actively participated in a two-day regional workshop titled “Unlocking Trade-in Services Opportunities for Youth and Women-led Businesses in SADC Countries,” held on April 8–9, 2026.Representing the High Commission, Mr. Salaman Asghar, Finance and Administrative Attaché, attended the sessions, which focused on strengthening the capacity of entrepreneurs to effectively access and navigate regional services markets.The workshop was organized by the SheTrades Mauritius Hub under the Economic Development Board (EDB), in collaboration with the SADC Secretariat.
Discussions emphasized the growing importance of digital transformation, innovation, and inclusive trade policies in driving sustainable economic growth across the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region.Reaffirming its commitment, the High Commission of Pakistan highlighted its continued support for initiatives aimed at promoting economic empowerment, particularly for youth and women, while also enhancing regional trade cooperation and partnerships between Pakistan and SADC member states.
