Warm reception in Dushanbe highlights commitment to stronger Pakistan–Tajikistan cooperation and continued diplomatic engagement
DUSHANBE, April 2, 2026 — The Ambassador-designate of Pakistan to Tajikistan, Mr. Irfan Ahmed, formally presented a copy of his Letter of Credence to Deputy Foreign Minister Idibek Kalandar at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Dushanbe.
The Deputy Foreign Minister warmly welcomed the newly appointed envoy and appreciated the contributions of his predecessor in strengthening bilateral relations. He emphasized the strategic importance of Pakistan–Tajikistan ties and expressed optimism for enhanced high-level engagement, assuring full support from the Ministry in further deepening cooperation.Ambassador Irfan Ahmed thanked the Tajik authorities for the warm reception and highlighted the longstanding historical, cultural, linguistic, and religious bonds between the two nations.
He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to expanding relations and fostering closer collaboration across various sectors.He also conveyed greetings and best wishes from Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister to his Tajik counterpart, expressing his determination to actively contribute to advancing the friendly relations between the two brotherly countries.
