Paul Kagame has reiterated Rwanda’s strong commitment to national unity and inclusive governance during a high-level engagement with members of the Muslim community. He emphasized that the country’s progress depends on the active participation of all citizens, regardless of background.Speaking at the gathering, Kagame dismissed allegations of religious discrimination, stating that Rwanda’s policies are guided by accountability, organization, and the rule of law rather than exclusion.
He stressed that all institutions must function within a legal framework that ensures stability and shared prosperity.“Our journey is one of transformation,” Kagame said, highlighting the need to reshape governance, mindsets, and opportunities so that every citizen contributes to national development. He added that no Rwandan is oppressed or left behind in the country’s growth process.
The event brought together senior officials and community leaders, reflecting the government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen ties across diverse groups. Business leader Zulfat Mukarubega also shared her success story, noting how government support helped grow the University of Tourism, Technology and Business Studies from just a handful of students into an institution with over 12,000 graduates.
The gathering served as a platform to promote dialogue, social cohesion, and youth engagement, reinforcing Rwanda’s vision of a united nation where diversity is embraced as a key strength in driving sustainable development.
