On the joyous occasion of Eid al-Fitr, Romania’s Ambassador to Pakistan, Dan Stoenescu, extended heartfelt greetings to the people of Pakistan.In his message, the ambassador conveyed warm wishes, expressing hope that the festival brings happiness, gratitude, unity, peace, good health, and prosperity to all.
He emphasized that the spirit of Eid should bring people closer together and strengthen values such as compassion, generosity, and hope.Accompanying the message were images of the Carol I Mosque, a unique place of worship that holds special significance. The mosque stands as a powerful symbol of tolerance and mutual respect in Romania.Notably, it is the only mosque in the world named after a Christian king, Carol I of Romania.
This reflects the country’s recognition and respect for its Muslim community.The ambassador highlighted that such heritage serves as a reminder that diversity can be a source of strength and that mutual respect has always been an integral part of Romania’s national identity.
