Senate Deputy Chairman Meets Key Figures, Discusses National and Regional Challenges

Islamabad: Deputy Chairman Senate, Syedal Khan, held a series of meetings with prominent personalities and public representatives to discuss the country’s socio-economic conditions and the evolving regional situation.Those who called on him included Member of the Provincial Assembly from Kurram, Ali Hadi, Secretary Islamabad Club, former caretaker Finance Minister Amjad Rashid, and social figures Nighat Khurshid and Faisal Kakar, among others from various walks of life.During the meetings, participants exchanged views on the overall social and economic landscape of the country as well as the rapidly changing regional dynamics.

They emphasized the need for national unity, economic stability, and effective policymaking in the current circumstances.Speaking on the occasion, Syedal Khan highlighted that austerity measures are the need of the hour to address the challenges faced by the country. He stressed that austerity should not remain limited to the government but must be adopted across all segments of society.He noted that the austerity drive initiated by the Prime Minister has received a positive public response, calling it an encouraging sign and urging further strengthening of this national effort.

The Deputy Chairman also stated that Pakistan’s recent diplomatic efforts have been widely appreciated at the international level, with the global community acknowledging the country’s stance and initiatives.He reiterated that Pakistan remains committed to promoting peace, stability, and mutual cooperation in the region and will continue to play a constructive role.Sayedal Khan expressed confidence that with joint efforts of state institutions and the public, the country can successfully overcome its challenges.
