LAHORE, Mar 20 (APP): Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr 1447 conveyed heartfelt greetings to the people of Pakistan and Muslims around the world, terming the festival a reflection of Allah’s immense mercy and blessings following the holy month of Ramazan.In his Eid message, the prime minister said that Muslims express gratitude to Almighty Allah on this blessed occasion for granting them the joy of Eid after a month of devotion and worship. He prayed for the acceptance of prayers and urged believers to incorporate Islamic teachings into their daily lives.
He described Eid-ul-Fitr as a symbol of reward for patience and perseverance, emphasizing values such as sacrifice, unity, service to humanity, and collective responsibility. He also stressed the importance of including underprivileged segments of society in Eid celebrations so they too could share in the happiness of the occasion.Highlighting government initiatives during Ramazan, the prime minister noted the successful implementation of a digital wallets system aimed at providing dignified financial support to vulnerable groups.
He added that cooperation and shared responsibility were essential for national development and prosperity.Referring to the ongoing humanitarian crises, particularly in Gaza and other conflict-affected regions of the Middle East, he said that despite the festive occasion, the Pakistani nation remained deeply concerned about the suffering of affected populations. He called for greater unity within the Muslim Ummah to promote justice, dignity, and lasting peace.
The prime minister reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to global peace and stability, expressing hope that Eid would strengthen the values of tolerance, justice, and brotherhood, and inspire collective efforts for the betterment of humanity.
