On March 26, 2026, Vice Chancellor of University of Narowal, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Zia-ul-Haq, accompanied by Dr. Muhammad Haseeb Sarwar, Director of National Sports City Narowal, visited the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI). The delegation held a productive meeting with SCCI President Syed Ahtesham Mazhar.
During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest, with a strong emphasis on enhancing industry–academia linkages to better align academic output with the evolving demands of export-oriented industries. The SCCI President was briefed on the academic and research capabilities of the University of Narowal, a public sector institution established in 2018, which offers a diverse range of undergraduate and postgraduate programs supported by modern facilities aimed at producing industry-ready graduates.The delegation also shared updates on the National Sports City Narowal project, envisioned as a state-of-the-art sports complex featuring multi-sport facilities, athlete accommodation, and international-standard infrastructure to promote sports excellence and regional development.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to fostering collaboration in key areas including skills development, research partnerships, and youth engagement. The meeting underscored the importance of strong academia–industry cooperation in advancing Pakistan’s economic growth and human capital development.
