Uzbekistan–Finland Economic Cooperation Discussed at Business Roundtable in Helsinki

Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister engages with 30 Finnish companies, including Nokia and Wärtsilä, to explore joint projects in key sectors

Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov represented the country at a high-level business roundtable held in Helsinki, where discussions focused on strengthening economic and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and Finland.The meeting brought together representatives of around 30 Finnish companies, including Nokia, Wärtsilä, Metso, Finnish Water Forum and East Office of Finnish Industries.

During the roundtable, Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov held productive discussions with leading Finnish businesses on the prospects for implementing joint projects in energy, mining, transport, information technology, mechanical engineering and other sectors.He highlighted the enormous potential for expanding economic and investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and Finland and stressed the importance of strengthening business-to-business (B2B) engagement to facilitate new partnerships and investment opportunities.

Participants expressed confidence that the dialogue would lead to new joint projects and further strengthen economic ties between the two countries.
