PM Shehbaz Sharif, Indonesian President Discuss Middle East Crisis in Telephone Call

ISLAMABAD (IN): Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday held a telephone conversation with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and expressed deep concern over the escalating situation in the Middle East.

During the conversation, the two leaders agreed to work together to urge all parties to exercise maximum restraint and to pursue sincere and serious efforts to resolve all outstanding differences through constructive dialogue and diplomacy.The prime minister strongly condemned Israel’s attacks on Iran and described the subsequent attacks on other brotherly Gulf countries as regrettable.

He also briefed the Indonesian president on Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach to Gulf countries following the recent crisis.During the call, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif further informed President Prabowo Subianto about the latest developments regarding Afghanistan. Both leaders agreed to remain in close contact in the coming days.
