KARACHI, June 24, 2026:* Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) commences the execution phase for Barite, Lead & Zinc (BLZ) Project, a joint venture between PPL as operator and Government of Balochistan, with the signing of Project Management Consultancy contract with globally renowned engineering services DMT Germany, marking a significant milestone for development of Pakistan’s mineral resources.
MD & CEO PPL Mohammad Khalid Rehman signed the agreement with Head, DMT Germany Florian Beier on June 23 at PPL head office in the presence of official from both organizations, including Head PPL Minerals Zeeshan Asghar.
Partnering with DMT Germany reflects PPL’s commitment to international best practices, technical excellence and effective execution. BLZ Project is one of Pakistan’s most significant large-scale open-pit mining ventures which is expected to become a key driver of economic growth in the region, contributing significantly towards mineral exports and development of country’s mineral resources.
