RAWALPINDI (Staff Reporter): Chairman of Pakistan Awami Quwat Party and Chairman of Rawal General & Dental Hospital and Rawal Foundation, Khaqan Waheed Khawaja, has said that the nation needs a clear vision, effective policies and practical measures instead of false promises and conventional politics.He said that education, technology and innovation, healthcare, employment, women’s empowerment and Kashmir hold a central position in the manifesto of Pakistan Awami Quwat. He stressed that equipping young people with modern skills and creating dignified employment opportunities for them is an urgent national requirement.He was addressing the oath-taking ceremony of newly elected office-bearers of three wings of Pakistan Awami Quwat in Rawalpindi. Those taking charge included Asma Ismail Butt, President Punjab Women’s Wing; Nabila Farghani, President Rawalpindi Division; and Raja Shafqat Mehboob Advocate, President Lawyers’ Wing Rawalpindi Division.
Members of the Central Committee, party office-bearers and a large number of workers also attended the ceremony.The ceremony commenced with the recitation of the Holy Quran, while party Secretary General Malik Ejaz Hussain performed the duties of host. Appointment letters were presented to the newly elected office-bearers, who were also presented with party flags. Malik Ejaz Hussain administered the oath to the newly appointed leaders.Addressing the gathering, Asma Ismail Butt said she was impressed by Khaqan Waheed Khawaja’s personality and his commitment to public welfare from their very first meeting. She said his selfless services and vision motivated her to join Pakistan Awami Quwat.She pledged to work alongside Khaqan Waheed Khawaja to advance the party’s mission of public service. She said she had never believed in shortcuts in life and vowed that she and other party workers would become his strength and strive to live up to the confidence placed in them.Asma Butt said the party had a clear vision for addressing public issues, particularly in the areas of education, healthcare and fundamental rights. She added that she was proud to openly state the political platform she had chosen and would play her role in further promoting the party’s vision and public-service agenda.
Raja Shafqat Mehboob Advocate, President Lawyers’ Wing Rawalpindi Division, said Pakistan Awami Quwat was striving to establish a system where public welfare, fundamental rights and a better future for citizens would be given priority.Nabila Farghani, President Rawalpindi Division, said Khaqan Waheed Khawaja had strong determination and that the party workers stood firmly with him. She pledged to use all available capabilities to take the party’s manifesto and message to every household.Renowned journalist Malik Shakeel Awan said collective efforts were needed to secure a better future for the coming generations and to develop the country’s youth by providing them with opportunities and direction.A number of prominent personalities from different walks of life also attended the ceremony. The event concluded with a luncheon hosted for the participants.
