BEIJING, Sept 13 (IN): Pakistan and China have reaffirmed their commitment to expanding business-to-business (B2B) cooperation, with particular emphasis on advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence (AI), digital infrastructure, technology transfer and joint ventures.The commitment was expressed at a Pakistan-China B2B Conference held in Beijing on the sidelines of the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) 2026. The conference, themed “Win-Win Partnerships,” brought together senior government officials, business leaders, investors and private-sector representatives from both countries.
Pakistan Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi attended and addressed the conference, describing the gathering as an important platform for strengthening direct business-to-business links and creating practical opportunities for Pakistani and Chinese enterprises.Organized jointly by the Embassy of Pakistan in Beijing and IBI Guolian Gufen, the conference attracted around 100 participants who engaged in focused discussions, networking and business matchmaking.Ambassador Hashmi welcomed the active participation of officials and business leaders, stressing the importance of developing commercially viable partnerships that can generate investment, promote technology transfer and strengthen industrial cooperation between the two countries.Prominent participants included Yang Shuo, Deputy Secretary General of the Beijing Municipality; Li Yi, Deputy Director General of the Beijing Commerce Bureau; Liu Jun Zihai, Director of IBI and Founder of TDD Global; and S. M. Tanveer, Patron-in-Chief of FPCCI and Chairman of Din Group.The discussions placed particular emphasis on advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence and digital infrastructure—sectors increasingly driving global economic growth and opening new avenues for investment, innovation and industrial collaboration.Participants also explored opportunities for joint ventures and technology partnerships, enabling companies from Pakistan and China to combine their expertise, capabilities and market access to develop mutually beneficial commercial projects.The B2B format provided businesses from both countries with an opportunity to move beyond traditional bilateral economic discussions and directly engage with potential investors, technology providers and commercial partners.The conference was held alongside CIFTIS 2026, offering Pakistani businesses an opportunity to connect with China’s rapidly expanding services and technology ecosystem and explore partnerships with international companies participating in the major trade event.
