ISLAMABAD: Chairman of the Pakistan Awami Quwwat Party and Chairman of Rawal General & Dental Hospital and Rawal Foundation, Khaqan Waheed Khawaja, has said that the people of Pakistan are politically conscious and fully understand what is good and bad for the country.He expressed these views while welcoming Hafiz Kaleem Hassani, Chairman Bazm-e-Ehsan Pakistan Naat Council, who joined the Pakistan Awami Quwwat Party.Khaqan Waheed Khawaja said that people who genuinely want to change the destiny of the country are joining his party. He added that the party was working at the grassroots level to address public issues despite not being in power.
He said, “We are carrying out, without holding power, many of the public service activities that should have been undertaken by local government representatives. However, the government has not paid sufficient attention to these matters, so we are working to resolve people’s problems at their doorsteps.”He further said that people were joining the party on a daily basis because of its public-oriented approach and welfare initiatives.
On the occasion, several political and social figures also met Khaqan Waheed Khawaja, including Professor Ejaz, Atiq Khalid, Malik Amjad Hussain, Sardar Naseem Ahmed Khan, Sardar Tahir Mahmood Khan, Anees Kiyani and others.Speaking on the occasion, Hafiz Kaleem Hassani and members of the visiting delegations appreciated Khaqan Waheed Khawaja’s policies, manifesto, political narrative and past public welfare initiatives.They said they would work alongside him and play their role in improving the lives of ordinary citizens.
