ISLAMABAD: A delegation led by President Kohat Chamber of Commerce & Industry Rashid Ahmed Paracha called on Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar and discussed key security, economic and development challenges faced by Kohat and the southern districts.During the meeting, the delegation emphasized that alongside effective security measures, sustainable solutions through employment opportunities, industrial growth and greater local empowerment were essential for the progress and stability of the region.The delegation presented several proposals, including a special economic package for the southern districts, tax relief measures, reduction in toll plaza rates at Kohat Tunnel, provision of gas at controlled rates under the law, resolution of electricity issues at the Small Industrial Estate, establishment of a SMEDA office, and setting up agricultural and research laboratories.
Federal Minister Attaullah Tarar assured the delegation of addressing the highlighted issues and immediately initiated consultations with relevant authorities in this regard. He stressed the importance of coordination among all institutions for maintaining peace, promoting development and resolving public concerns.Central President Youth Media Team Khadim Ali Khan Yousafzai was also present on the occasion.
