TASHKENT, Uzbekistan: The Apparel Textile Sourcing Exhibition Uzbekistan 2026 is set to take place from October 12 to 14 at the Uzexpocentre in Tashkent, bringing together leading textile and apparel companies from China, Uzbekistan and markets across Central Asia.Launched in 2024, the exhibition has rapidly developed into an important sourcing and business platform for the region’s textile and apparel industry. This year’s edition will be held alongside a series of textile exhibitions in Uzbekistan, authorized and supported by Messe Frankfurt, the Germany-based international trade fair organizer. The three-day event will showcase a broad range of textile and apparel products, including fabrics, accessories, finished garments, home and commercial textiles, fashion accessories, textile machinery, equipment and related technologies.
More than 150 Chinese companies are expected to participate in the 2026 exhibition, with around 80 exhibitors presenting their products under the China Brand banner. Their participation is expected to provide buyers and industry representatives from Uzbekistan and neighboring Central Asian markets with greater access to Chinese manufacturing capabilities and technologies. The exhibition builds on the strong international participation recorded during previous editions. In 2025, the exhibition series attracted more than 250 exhibitors and over 4,000 visitors from 15 countries and regions, including the United Kingdom, United States, Germany, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Afghanistan.Nearly 100 Chinese textile and apparel companies participated in the 2025 edition, showcasing products, production technologies and manufacturing expertise to buyers and industry professionals from Uzbekistan and other Central Asian markets.
The upcoming exhibition comes against the backdrop of expanding economic and trade cooperation between China and Uzbekistan, including collaboration under the Belt and Road Initiative. Textile and apparel manufacturing remains one of China’s major industrial strengths, supported by a highly integrated supply chain covering raw materials, textile production, garment manufacturing, machinery and related services.China is the world’s largest producer and exporter of apparel, manufacturing more than 70 billion garments annually. Its large-scale and integrated textile industry, together with continued developments in technology, design and branding, has strengthened the competitiveness of Chinese companies in international markets.Uzbekistan’s strategic location in Central Asia, growing population and rapid urbanization are also contributing to increasing demand for clothing, bedding, curtains, carpets and other textile products.
These developments are creating new opportunities for international suppliers and strengthening Uzbekistan’s potential as a regional hub for textile and apparel trade. The 2026 exhibition is expected to further strengthen commercial links between Chinese and Uzbek companies while creating opportunities for cooperation among manufacturers, suppliers, buyers, industry associations and other institutions across Central Asia.Chinese exhibitors are expected to use the platform to expand their presence in Central Asian markets, establish new business partnerships and explore opportunities across the region’s growing textile and apparel value chain.
The event will also provide a platform for industry stakeholders to exchange views on broader cooperation between China, Uzbekistan and other Central Asian markets, further supporting trade, investment and business-to-business connections in the textile and apparel sector.
