ISLAMABAD / NEW YORK (September 20, 2026):Federal Minister for Board of Investment Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh has departed for New York to attend the “Sustainable Development Impact Meetings 2026,” organized by the World Economic Forum (WEF) from September 21 to 24, where he will showcase Pakistan’s economic potential and favorable investment climate.The four-day high-profile global gathering will convene world leaders, global investors, prominent business executives, and heads of international financial institutions to deliberate on strategic frameworks for sustainable development and global economic resilience.During the forum, Federal Minister Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh will highlight the attractive incentives, structural government reforms, and streamlined ease-of-doing-business facilities available to foreign investors across strategic sectors, including energy, technology, agriculture, and manufacturing.

On the sidelines of the summit, the federal minister is scheduled to hold a series of bilateral and multilateral meetings with international investors, corporate executives, and global economic leaders, aimed at catalyzing foreign direct investment (FDI) inflows into Pakistan and expanding cross-border commercial partnerships.Economic analysts view the minister’s participation at the World Economic Forum as a significant and forward-looking step toward positioning Pakistan as a competitive and stable investment destination in the region.
