KIGALI: Pakistan and Rwanda enjoy excellent political, cultural and diplomatic relations, which provide a strong foundation for expanding economic cooperation, High Commissioner of Pakistan to Rwanda H.E. Naeem Khan said at the Rwanda-Pakistan Investment Forum 2026.He emphasized the need to translate the strong bilateral relationship into deeper trade and investment partnerships, highlighting significant opportunities arising from the complementary nature of the two economies.
“We are not in competition; we complement each other. What Rwanda is producing, Pakistan needs, and what Pakistan is producing, Rwanda needs,” the High Commissioner said.He identified agriculture, textiles, healthcare, ICT, tourism, education and joint ventures as key areas offering substantial potential for cooperation between the two countries.
H.E. Naeem Khan also noted that Rwanda could serve as an important gateway for Pakistani businesses to access the wider African market, in addition to expanding their presence in Rwanda itself.The forum brought renewed attention to the potential for stronger business-to-business engagement, investment partnerships and mutually beneficial economic cooperation between Pakistan and Rwanda.
