RAWALPINDI, Oct 8: The newly elected leadership of the Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI), led by President Nosherwan Khalil Khan, called on Commissioner Rawalpindi Salman Ghani to discuss matters of mutual interest, business facilitation and key development initiatives.Patron-in-Chief Sohail Altaf, Senior Vice President Waseem Aslam and Vice President Ikram-ur-Rehman Abbasi were part of the delegation, along with former RCCI presidents Asad Mashhadi, Manzer Khurshid, Malik Shahid Saleem, Saqib Rafiq and Usman Shaukat.Executive Members Ms. Sadia Niazi and Ms. Saima Dastagir also attended the meeting.
The discussion focused on strengthening coordination between the business community and the district administration, facilitating trade and investment, and expediting development projects of importance to the business sector.The Rawalpindi Ring Road project and the proposed economic zones along its corridor also came under discussion, with the RCCI leadership highlighting their potential to promote industrial growth, investment and economic activity in the region.Commissioner Salman Ghani assured the RCCI delegation of his full support and reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to facilitating the business community and addressing issues affecting trade and investment.
