RAWALPINDI, Oct 8 (IN): Bahrain’s Foreign Minister Dr. Abdullatif Bin Rashid Al Zayani called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI (M), HJ, at General Headquarters (GHQ) on Thursday, with discussions focusing on regional security, mutual interests and bilateral defence cooperation.
According to a press release issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting provided an opportunity to review matters of mutual interest and explore avenues for strengthening defence and security collaboration between Pakistan and Bahrain.Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir highlighted the longstanding fraternal ties between the two countries, emphasizing that their relationship is founded on shared values, mutual respect and close cooperation.He reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further expanding bilateral relations, particularly in the fields of defence and security.
Dr. Al Zayani appreciated the professionalism and operational preparedness of the Pakistan Armed Forces and expressed his resolve to further enhance bilateral cooperation. He also acknowledged Pakistan’s contributions to promoting regional peace and stability.The meeting underscored the commitment of Pakistan and Bahrain to strengthening their longstanding partnership and advancing cooperation for regional security and stability.
