SARGODHA, May 05 (IN): The University of Sargodha (UoS) would host the All-Pakistan Universities Football Championship 2025–26 with a colorful opening ceremony scheduled for May 7,2026(Thursday) at the varsity’s football ground.
Higher Education Commission of Pakistan has entrusted UoS with hosting rights for the national-level tournament, which will feature participation from more than 20 universities across the country.According to the Directorate of Sports, all arrangements have been finalized to ensure the smooth conduct of the championship. The event will formally kick off on May 7,2026(Thursday) and continue until May 11,2026(Monday).
HEC Chairman, Niaz Ahmed Akhtar (Sitara-i-Imtiaz) will grace the opening ceremony as the chief guest.The inaugural event will also include friendly tug-of-war contests among teaching faculty, adding to the festivities.The closing ceremony will be held on May 11,2026(Monday) at the university’s multipurpose hall.Minister of State for National Health Services Malik Mukhtar Ahmad Bharath is expected to attend as the chief guest.
