The High Commission of Pakistan in Mauritius held a solemn ceremony at the Chancery to commemorate the first anniversary of “Maark-e-Haq: The Battle of Truth,” marking a significant milestone in Pakistan’s national history.
The event was attended by members of the Pakistani diaspora, Mauritian dignitaries, academics, and community leaders, who gathered to pay tribute to the successful defense of Pakistan’s national sovereignty in May 2025.A documentary screening and commemorative speeches highlighted the strategic success of Operation Bunyan-un-Marsoos and reflected on the spirit of national unity and resilience demonstrated during the historic period.
Pakistan’s High Commissioner, Syed Zahid Raza, paid tribute to the martyrs and ghazis, emphasizing that while Pakistan remains fully capable of defending its national interests, it is equally committed to regional peace, stability, and dialogue.
The ceremony’s Guest of Honour was Abdool Raouf Bundhun, former Vice President of Mauritius, who stressed the importance of peace, justice, and stability in South Asia, describing them as shared values that strengthen ties between the two nations.The ceremony concluded with a reaffirmation that truth, unity, and national resolve continue to guide Pakistan’s path forward.
