Pakistan–Mauritius Educational Ties Strengthened as High Commissioner Visits Aleemiah College

High Commissioner Syed Zahid Raza visited Aleemiah College and held a productive meeting with the college administration to discuss educational cooperation and future collaboration opportunities between Pakistan and Mauritius.During the visit, Chairman of Halkae Quadria Ishat Al Islam (HQII), Mr. Akhtar Dawood, briefed the High Commissioner on the history, academic programs, and social activities of Aleemiah College.

The High Commissioner praised the valuable contributions of HQII and the institution in promoting quality education and community development.Syed Zahid Raza also shared details about educational opportunities available in Pakistani universities, encouraging the college to send its graduates to Pakistan for higher studies in various fields. Discussions included student exchange programs, utilization of Pakistan Technical Assistance Programme (PTAP) scholarships, promotion of the Urdu language, celebrations marking the 150th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and virtual interactions between compatible educational institutions.

The meeting was attended by Mrs. Khursheed Banu Khoyratty, Mr. Yacoob Ramtola, Mr. Bye Samah Ghoora, Mr. Abdool Azize Parthasee, and Mr. Faizal Mohung.Aleemiah College shares a historic bond with Pakistan, as it was founded in 1957 by renowned Pakistani scholar Maulana Abdul Aleem Siddiqui.
