ISLAMABAD: Deputy Chairman Senate Syedal Khan held a meeting with the Chairman of the Higher Education Commission to discuss the promotion of higher education in Balochistan, establishment of new universities, and provision of improved facilities to existing educational institutions.During the meeting, both sides emphasized the urgent need to provide students in Balochistan with quality and modern educational opportunities.
They stressed the importance of establishing more centers of higher learning and universities in different parts of the province to ensure better access to education.Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Chairman Senate Syedal Khan said that providing improved educational opportunities to the youth of Balochistan was essential for national development and long-term stability. He underlined the need to strengthen existing universities and educational institutions through modern research facilities, improved infrastructure, digital resources, and enhanced teaching tools to enable students to receive education in line with international standards.
The Chairman of the Higher Education Commission briefed the Deputy Chairman Senate on ongoing initiatives aimed at improving the higher education sector in Balochistan and reaffirmed the commission’s commitment to enhancing the capacity of educational institutions. He also shared details regarding the initiative to digitize the degree verification process through an online system.Deputy Chairman Senate appreciated the efforts of the HEC and highlighted the significance of higher education in the country, stressing that comprehensive measures should be taken to further strengthen the sector.
