SCCI President Raises KP Business, Security Concerns in Key Meeting with Prime Minister

President of the Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), Junaid Altaf, as part of a high-level delegation comprising senior representatives of leading chambers of commerce from across the country and the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), called on Prime Minister Mian Shehbaz Sharif to discuss key economic and business issues.

During the meeting, the Prime Minister listened to the concerns and recommendations of the business community and held detailed discussions on matters related to the economy, trade, industry, and investment.Speaking on the occasion, SCCI President Junaid Altaf highlighted the challenges facing the wheat and CNG sectors in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and stressed the need for a clear, consistent, and sustainable wheat policy. He also urged the federal government to expedite the completion of the long-awaited Peshawar Expo Center project, facilitate the restoration of trade affected by border closures, and take effective measures to address unemployment.

Junaid Altaf further paid tribute to the sacrifices rendered by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and other security institutions in the fight against terrorism over the past two decades. He called for a special support package, modern facilities, and the provision of essential equipment to strengthen their capacity to maintain peace and security in the province.The meeting underscored the importance of close coordination between the government and the business community to promote economic growth, facilitate trade, and address regional challenges.
