Pakistan U18 hockey team get rousing reception Pakistan’s Under-18 hockey team received a rousing welcome on their return to Karachi on Monday after claiming the bronze medal at the Men’s U18 Asia Cup 2026 held in Kakamigahara, Japan.Senior officials of the Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) along with the head of PHF Development Committee, legendary Olympian Hassan Sardar were present at Jinnah International Airport to receive the young side.

In a touching gesture of honour, customs authorities at the airport also presented a formal salute to the bronze medallists as they arrived home.Pakistan had secured third place with a convincing 3-0 victory over Malaysia in the bronze medal match, producing a disciplined performance to finish their campaign on the podium. Meanwhile, PHF President Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani commended the players for their dedication, resilience and the honour they brought to the nation.

He said securing the bronze medal reflected the fighting spirit that has long defined Pakistan hockey. He expressed confidence that these young players represent a bright future for the national game and assured them of the federation’s full support in their continued development.
