Pakistan, Mauritius Explore New Trade Horizons; Invitation Extended for FoodAg 2026

Mauritius: Pakistan’s Investment Counsellor, Mrs. Adeela Younis, along with Deputy High Commissioner Ms. Khadijah Khalid Khan, held a significant meeting with the leadership and board members of the Mauritius Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MCCI).

The meeting brought together key stakeholders from diverse sectors including food, textiles, pharmaceuticals, and sports. Discussions focused on identifying new trade opportunities, strengthening bilateral economic cooperation, and reviewing prospects under the Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA).During the engagement, Mrs. Adeela Younis warmly invited the MCCI and the wider Mauritian business community to participate in the upcoming FoodAg Exhibition, scheduled to be held in Pakistan in November 2026.

Both sides expressed optimism about transforming these constructive discussions into meaningful economic partnerships, paving the way for stronger commercial ties and sustainable growth between Pakistan and Mauritius.
